Josh Musselman is a senior in the Utah State University Piano Performance program. He is a two-time winner of the USU Concerto Competition, allowing him to perform some of his favorite works with the CCA Orchestra. During his time at Utah State, Josh has been privileged to study under both Professor Gary Amano, a teacher renowned for his pedagogical work, and for producing students who continuously perform up to high standards in prestigious competitions, and Dr. Jason Hardink, the primary pianist for the Utah Symphony. Recently, Josh was named Talent of the Year in the USU Music Department, and was also nominated as a finalist for the USU Robin’s Talent of the Year. He is often requested as a performer at dinners and events all over campus. Josh demonstrated his love for performing from a young age, winning awards in competitions throughout Northern Utah, including first place in the Mountain Crest High School Young Artist Cup, and twice playing concerti with the Box Elder youth symphony at ages 14 and 15.
Josh’s love for music extends beyond piano. He currently serves as Pipe Sargent in the USU Pipe and Drum Corps, a competitive bagpipe band that performs across northern Utah. He plans to continue his musical career with degrees in either collaborative piano or conducting. His dream is to someday compose soundtrack scores for the film industry.
All of this wouldn't be possible without my family! You guys are awesome!
I absolutely love cooking! My favorite thing is binge-watching Jaqcues Pepin and trying new recipes from The Great British Baking Show. When I retire I'm hoping to graduate from a real French culinary school.
Yes, I play the bagpipes. I needed have a way to annoy an entire neighborhood at once. No, I don't wear the kilt traditionally. Sorry ladies.
I've read Lord of the Rings 10 times. No wonder I'm single.
